When you get up in the morning, your body is weak. You probably stayed up all night doing your homework and studying, so you have to nudge yourself down the stairs and into the kitchen. You grab your favorite cereal and sit down as your body calms itself. If you’re like me, you probably need to consume food to get yourself moving. You might like to watch television like myself. Just remember, if you’re not feeling well in the morning, you should boost your energy by eating, and work to the best of your ability.

Something you most likely don’t like doing as much as I do is getting dressed in the morning. It’s probably the worst part of my morning but to get into the workday mode and feel of things you have to dress appropriately to think appropriately. For example, I wouldn’t show up to my basketball game in a dress because it’s not appropriate for the occasion, I would have shorts and a shirt on. The same goes for school days, I wouldn’t go out in-person or online school with a bathing suit on, I would have school attire on. What you wear has an effect on your performance.

If your workspace was as cluttered as mine, we have something in common. You should find time to reorganize your space like I did because if you have papers all over the place your mind and work will be out of control. A tidy workspace helps you improve your work, and you will not feel like you are overwhelmed.

If you’re like me, your zoom classes are one of the best parts of your day. You get to be with amazing teachers and classmates, while learning new topics and expanding your vocabulary, whether it’s in Math, Science, ELA, or any other out-of-school activity.

Lunchtime is amazing! You get a break from school, and time to just zone out and think about your life out of school, the next time you’ll see your friends, how you really hope the Celtics win their next game, how you mom’s gonna make you take out the trash on Monday, or anything else. Lunchtime is not just to relax and do whatever you want as a free period, it’s something we should all have in our schedule because eating a good diet can improve your performance on a day-to-day basis.

I have been FaceTiming my friends and catching up with each other’s lives. I love to take a break from schoolwork and zone out (but I always make sure I don’t lose track of time so I can finish either my school work or just be with my family). It’s been hard to stay in touch with some friends because we all go to different schools now, but we are making it work in a way that is beneficial to everyone.

Getting out of the house once in a while is something that everyone should try to do if it’s for a long 30-minute run or even just taking your dog out. I like to go on social distance walks with my friends around the neighborhood of Boston.

If you have a dog just like I do, you probably take your dog to the dog park if you have one in your neighborhood. I love to do this so I have some time to myself. I can get some fresh air and calm myself down (and let’s just say my dog Luna loves going to the dog park).

Today my friends and I wanted to go to a local coffee shop such as Starbucks to do homework and socialize. It was nice to get out of the house and get some fresh air. We all had masks on and were six feet apart from each other. Make sure if you go out with friends or family to be safe.
